KSP INVESTIGATE OFFICER-INVOLVED FATAL SHOOTING IN KENTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY

TAYLOR MILL, KY – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is reporting that the KSP Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) has been requested by the Covington Police Department to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred in Covington on Sunday, June 30 at approximately 3:00 p.m. EST at a residence on Grand Ave.

CIRT detectives arrived on the scene and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

A male subject sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the coroner. 

KSP has statewide jurisdiction and investigates officer-involved shootings throughout the Commonwealth as requested by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. KSP is committed to being transparent while ensuring the integrity of the investigation.
