NASHVILLE, TN - Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) Traffic Division officers, in collaboration with the Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint the night of July 4 on Charlotte Pike near Morrow Road.

Last year there were 1,192 crashes in Davidson County that involved impaired drivers, resulting in 40 fatalities.

The checkpoint is part of the partnership between state and local agencies to enhance traffic safety in greater Nashville.
