Newport News, VA - The Newport News Police Department (NNPD) reports that on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 9:04 pm, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Walden Pond Court in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a 15-year old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for care. The next day, the teenager succumbed to his injuries.

Jacksonville, Florida – Chief United States District Judge Timothy J. Corrigan has sentenced Octavio Adalberto Robledo (54, Jacksonville) to 8 years and 4 months in federal prison for using the internet to download videos and photos of young children being sexually abused. Robledo was also ordered to serve a 20-year term of supervised release and register as a sex offender.
